Cross-Road Stables
Originally made as a rehabilitation facility for children with disabilities and needs, as well as a rescue shelter for horses, the Stable was known by the name 'Heartland', and the slogan 'Healing Horses, Healing Hearts'. However, after a great fire that destroyed most of the main house, stables, and paddock area, the original team packed up, suffering the loss of 23 horses. Nature was allowed to run it's course, and new grasses sprang up, richer and thicker than before, trees crowded areas they had not been able to before.
When the stable and house area was finally bought again, by a soft and frail female named Rose, it's rustic, rugged look was kept, minus the weeds growing out of the wood. The name 'Heartland' was changed to 'Cross-Road', seeing as this place was no longer at it's beginning, but Rose was in no way ready to let the beautiful area see it's end. The paddocks were trimmed, and the fences repaired. A straight of land for sprinting was set up, and forest trails were once again cleared, extending all the way back to the mountains. Hunting and jumping areas were formed for the first time, and the stable re-opened, Rose's insight firm on making Cross-Road Stables one that would live up to its name.
